Neal Hornsby
Managing Director

Neal is a financial services professional with more than 30 years in the industry. He has held senior positions in a number of large firms such as CBA, Minter Ellison, Challenger, TOWER Australia, Westpac, RACV and Siemens, as well as leading projects for the Council of Financial Regulators (Federal Treasury, RBA, APRA and ASIC) and then further projects with APRA. Neal is a recognised industry professional in the area of risk and compliance framework implementation and lectures at the Governance Institute and has written risk and compliance articles and has been a contributor to several publications, including Bloomberg’s Hedge Fund Manual. Neal is considered an expert in risk and compliance control frameworks of financial services companies including fund managers, life insurance companies and advice groups. He holds an MBA (USQ), a Grad Dip in IT(USQ), a Diploma in Financial Services, a Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Certified PRINCE II Project Manager (UTS). Memberships include Australian Institute of Project Managers, Australian Computer Society and the Governance Institute of Australia.

Martin Ashe
Director

Martin is a Director and Head of Investments for PacReef Asset Management. Martin commenced his career in computing where he focused on financial systems in banking, broking and asset management. Martin designed a commodity futures trading and monitoring system and was involved in the development of a treasury management system. Martin later moved to mainstream asset management, where he originally managed various cash and fixed interest products including the Macquarie Cash Management Trust. He later was involved in the management & marketing of domestic and international equity portfolios. Martin has implemented and overseen Operational Risk Management programs and has developed operational and credit procedures for a number of major organisations. Martin has worked for a number of major institutions in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong including Macquarie Bank, Rothschild, Challenger International and Allco Group. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors. He is a Fellow of Finance through the Financial Services Institute of Australia and is a past vice chairman of the Financial Services Council of Australia.

Duncan Stewart
Director

Duncan has worked in the financial services industry since 1979, commencing his career with Prudential in Australia. He has held senior positions in several companies, including FAI, TOWER Australia, AXA and ANZ. His experience involves creating and building financial advice licensees and a superannuation business, leading a financial planning wealth business, plus various marketing and technical leadership roles. He has also consulted to financial planning businesses as well as been a client adviser in his own practice.
